Job description

This position is strongly focused on Logistics, with the purpose of leading a team of Logistics specialists to ensure the execution and fulfillment of all logistics activities within the cluster as well as driving continuous improvement initiatives and cross-functional project management inside the cluster supply chain perimeter.

Logistics Operations and Process Excellence

  • Ensure clear priorities and follow-up on defined KPIs to monitor the process performance and secure corrective actions if necessary

  • Coordinate and support the team in the efficient execution of daily Logistics operations (e.g. Logistics Provider Performance; Inbound; Warehouse inventory; outbound; pallet and containers; returns; logistics claims; inventory count, rework and disposal; Tax, Custom, Legal (E.G. Intrastat, ADR, LTSD), Logistics value adding services)

  • Perform Logistics cost control, including budget and reporting

  • Monitor weekly and monthly Logistics KPI’s and costs, find efficiency opportunities and follow up with 3PL

  • Manage RFC's from Customers, tesa and 3rd party on all logistics parameters

  • Drive and support tenders for distribution and warehousing

Continuous Improvement & Project Management

  • Support, pitch, and implement ideas for process optimization (First Time Right Methodology)

  • Support or run projects at cluster level

  • Develop guidelines and standard operating procedures on cluster level

  • Lead the European process harmonization in defined set of countries

  • Lead 3PL in the continuous improvement projects

  • Support internal and external audits in Logistics matters

Job requirements

  • University degree with preferred Supply Chain specialization (APICS certification as a plus)

  • 7+ years of experience in a logistics role taking also care of supply planning tasks within a matrix organized multinational company

  • Experience in leading, building and developing a cross-country team in an international, and hybrid working environment

  • Experience in a logistics operational set up

  • Very good written and spoken English and German skills (C1 level or higher)

  • Capability to liaise with and influence senior stakeholders to enable the logistics & supply targets achievement

  • Project management and track record to drive CIP

  • Skilled communicator with a focus on stakeholder involvement

  • Strong in analytical and logical thinking

  • Ability to work under pressure, meeting tough deadlines

  • Ability to work with and understand big data

  • Motivated to collaborate in an international environment, with the willingness to occasionally travel

  • Experience in working with digital tools (especially Power BI, SAP, Microsoft 365)
