Job description

  • Develop technical concepts and prototypes for automotive EV battery applications (both manual and fully automated) in collaboration with our sales team and automotive customers to meet customer demands

  • Lead as project manager between tesa stakeholders, automotive customers, and mechanical engineering partners to ensure successful realization of tape process automation for debonding on demand in the automotive industry

  • Drive new product specifications and capabilities for processibility with market demands on debonding solutions in collaboration with customers and the development team

  • Responsible for benchmarking technology and competition in the defined focus field and provide input to Product -, Technology Development and the Marketing team

  • Verify technical concepts from initial drafting up to full prototype development application devices with a hands-on mentality

  • Create and implement internal and external technical trainings on adhesive tape application processes

  • You are part of a dynamic team which is driven by an entrepreneur spirit

  • Up to 50% travel activities is within your comfort zone

Job requirements

  • Technical engineering background with a master's or bachelor's degree, preferably mechanical engineering or related studies

  • 3+ years of professional experience in EV industry

  • Strong understanding of EV battery manufacturing technologies, materials, and production techniques

  • Preferably experience in customer service or other direct customer facing roles

  • Fluent in written and spoken in German and English (at least B2); Chinese language skills is a plus

  • Experiences in CAD software and 3D design is a plus

  • Excellent communication skills and talented networker

  • Advanced presentation and negotiation skills, strong customer focus, result oriented

  • Team player able to communicate and work across hierarchy levels
