Customer Quality Engineer

 

Join our European Quality & Sustainability Team and support on major quality issues resolutions for industrial (Aerospace, Automotive, Transportation) and consumer (global key accounts) customers with the objective of maintaining and improving customer satisfaction, by alignment of customer requirements vs. tesa quality management standards and international norms ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 9100.

 

Position content (core accountabilities, strategic responsibilities, key activities):

 

•            Coordinate, communicate and regulate customer quality topics issued by selected A, B or strategic customers.

•            Support projects with new product developments or qualifications.

•            Maintain and improve customer satisfaction with conformity to customer specific requirements and quality management standards such as ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 9100.

•            Provide support and coordination for selected, important customers and their inquiries regarding quality (such as APQP, PPAP/PPA, Feasibility Studies, Quality Surveys, questionnaires, escalating claims, QAA- Quality Assurance Agreements review, Customer Scorecards, product change notification)

•            Customer scorecards follow up, monitoring and analysis methodology.

•            Support key customers audits.

•            Ensure a solid relationship with selected customer quality counterpart to brick wall the overall customer network

•            Follow up on KPIs

•            Support about quality requirements to sales people and supportive functions

•            Communicate the accurate customer requirement within the tesa org. (lab, plants, sales)

•            Manage the quality activities in alignment with the regulations and with Corporate Quality Management.

•            Provide trainings about quality standards to Sales and supportive functions

•            The role has a regional scope, covering DACH & Eastern European countries

Job requirements

•       BSc. degree or higher in engineering, preferably in mechanical engineering, process engineering or equivalent

•       3+ years of experience in quality field

•       Experience with quality standard ISO 9001, ISO 9100, IATF 16949, core tools (APQP, FMEA, PPAP and SPC). Six Sigma skills and experience is an advantage

•       Excellent problem-solving skills applying 8D methodology

•       Familiar with customer´s portals and platforms

•       Auditing experience

•       Fluency in English and German

•       Detail-oriented, precise, independent

•       Experience working on a cross functional team

•       Strong interpersonal and communication skills
